That's a sentiment about my Eminem story that I've seen repeated in article comments and on social media.
It's wrong, of course. Case in point, Slime Shady makes inane claims and they get MILLIONS of views and supportive worldwide press. I make a detailed and documented rebuttal and despite many thousands of AmmoLand and WarOnGuns regulars, Facebook "friends" and Twitter "followers," so far, the piece has only garnered a modest handful of "shares."
There is no other publicity. None. Guess what the public is exposed to. Now guess why so many other efforts to disseminate the right information have gone nowhere.
I could just chalk it up to my writing sucks, but it's not limited to me and that doesn't explain why so many continue to return here every day. Surely there are more productive uses of their time.
We have the tools but only a handful ever picks them up and uses them. We have the potential to do so much more to reach outside the echo chamber (where even there this barely made a dent), but only a minuscule handful ever bother.

So Everytown raised a record 67 million dollars in 2018, according to their Form 990. According to the Schedule B, 39 million of that was raised from one donor. I think we can all guess who that is. But even Mike Bloomberg has friends. They raised 4 million more dollars in million dollar donations. That takes us up to 43 million raised from rich assholes. [More]

Good report, incidentally. It's a shame this kind of stuff has to be ferreted out by motivated individuals with limited resources and reach, but I guess the "real reporters" are occupied rewording press releases.

"Official" counts for events like this are always hard. The capital police estimates say 22,000. EM Ed Levine guessed "50,233" :) and another member used the same software the park police used on the mall to count people density from helicopter photos and his software says between 50,000 - 100,000.

We're perfectly capable of evaluating this problematic president against a field of outright traitors without painting an opportunist as something his actions tell us he's really not. And as for "DESTROY[ing] our Second Amendment rights," they might destroy Fairflacks', but mine will take a bit more effort.
Good rule of thumb: Don't talk to your members (your employers) like they're idiots. Then again, maybe those are the ones persuaded by such appeals.
In fairness, when I started out, I went through my starry-eyed NRA evangelist period before I started noticing and then examining all the disconnects.
