Longtime readers know that when I do book reviews, which is not very often, I only do good ones.
I don't have anything to say yet about Resurrection Runner only because I haven't read it-- but the premise intrigues the hell out of me. So I'm calling it to your attention because author Robert Wood Anderson asked me to and because, appearances to the contrary, I really am one hell of a nice and helpful guy -- most of the time.
With caveats out of the way, check out his website. If you like what you see and want to know more, click on the "Count Me In" button to be added to an email list to get sample chapters and receive updates on the book's progress.

Voices from the Past
There is a sub-species of pig-headed gun owners who refuse to entertain any attempts to persuade our "beautiful Second Amendment" president about needed course corrections. They view any attempt as an attack to be put down with stupid and bellicose questions like "Would you rather have Hillary?" or accusations of being a closet leftwinger or a Russian bot.
One point I made that I haven't noticed too many picking up on is the way a "voice vote" within many of our memories eviscerated our recognized right to keep and bear arms.
Here are some more reminders of what can happen when you rely on a corrupt broker being the sole arbiter of who screamed the loudest, which is one hell of an outrageously unacceptable way to commit the fate of millions:

Who Was That Masked Man?
This looks interesting. Anyone know any reason why it won't work? [Watch]
It certainly seems a lot less labor-intensive than the other DIY alternatives I've seen.
Just don't wear one in Virginia. Northam's pretty strict about the mask styles he approves.

Great Expectations
One would expect the school to cook up a glowing press release touting the member of the law school community saving lives and serving her country while still earning her law degree. [More]No, with the subversive nature of academia, one would expect her to be unceremoniously expelled as a "Nazi" and for her accusers to do everything in their power to destroy her future educational, career and social options.

The Incredible Shrinking SEO
I've noted before how the Google algorithm appears to be excluding some of my stuff from appearing on searches. What I have been increasingly noticing is the more I produce, the fewer results show up on both the "News" and "All" feeds. I'm talking significantly like I'm getting less than half of what I was getting a year ago.
Sic 'em!
Building on our success in convincing Wake County to add firearm-related businesses to its list of "essential services" to avoid litigation and a court order for Wake County Sheriff Gerald Baker to resume issuing pistol purchase permits, GRNC and GOA today sent a letter to the Durham Mayor Steve Schewel and the Durham City Council advising them of their non-compliance with federal recommendations for critical infrastructure. [More]"Recommendations"?
Yep:
This list is advisory in nature. It is not, nor should it be considered, a federal directiveor standard. It's either critical or it's not. Once more the administration opts for toothless pandering that somehow has resulted in high fives.
What other civil rights could be ignored by state and local governments without an army of feds coming down to frog march offenders? Kudos to the groups that persist and soldier on in spite of that.
You Never Want a Serious Crisis to Go to Waste

I guess when you're a public employee, you don't need to worry about being competitive, which is kind of ironic considering the nature of the place.

UPDATE: Here's what they said the first time when they promised to reopen on Mar. 26. Guess it's taking longer to decide to stagger shooters to every other station or something...
Funny, how essential private businesses have been able to figure it out...
