The Gunprude

Steve Huppert says he has nothing against the Second Amendment and people who own and carry firearms. But there’s an appropriate place for them, the Christiansburg councilman said. “People shouldn’t have sex out in the middle of Christiansburg,” Huppert said. “That’s how I feel about gun control. There’s a place for everything.” [More]

You're a special kind of idiot, aren't you, Steve? Care to tell us the places you can guarantee there will be no need for defense, and will you and your fellow councilthings personally back that up?

The DSM always seems to bring up prior military experience, as if that's some kind of free pass against having unrelated qualifications challenged.

#HireGinaCarano

Carano re-shared the following post on her Instagram story late Tuesday night: “Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…even by children. Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?” [More]
That's a good and valid question, especially in light of Republicans being called "Nazis" by the same prominent voices ginning up the mobs.

So it figures she'd run afoul of Disney Family Values.

The Useful Idiot Party

EXCLUSIVE-Dozens of former Republican officials in talks to form anti-Trump third party [More]
I'm sure the leftists will happily give these losers/spoilers all the publicity they want, at least until they're no longer useful.

There's Nothing Wrong with Being a Culturist

How America’s Gun Culture Cultivates Civic Virtue [More]
That's the culture the domestic enemies are trying to terraform and cancel. As I've explained before:
I freely admit to being a culturist and an ideologist inasmuch as some cultures and ideologies have proven themselves to be superior at advancing freedom, knowledge, technology, prosperity, and human happiness than others, and those are the ones to emulate and build upon, not overburden and drag down.
This article isn't new but it's the first time I recall seeing it. Good observations from a man who proves to be the exception to the rule when it comes to immigrants favoring Democrat disarmament...

I've experienced firsthand what it's like to see the joy of introducing shooting to a foreign national from a place where guns are banned (a Japanese executive in my case) and to argue for the rights of people from all demographics and persuasions. About the only thing I won't "tolerate" are those who enjoy the right and then vote for those actively eviscerating it.

I do have one reservation about the piece: I wish he'd picked somebody other than The French Mistake to use for his example.

Bowed Boy

Proud Boys Member Says Trump to Blame for Inciting Capitol Riot [More]
And former "brothers" be damned! Give that low-hanging fruit sell-out trying to save his own skin a buffalo hat!

You get ignoramuses with surface awareness who go full fanatic, but when you get right down to it, they understand nothing. Kind of like the self-styled "Three Percenters" who have never heard of Mike, let alone read any of his foundational work.

Mission Impossible

"For 50 years, ATF has been making this square peg fit in the round hole," O'Kelly told CNN, "when, in fact, it doesn't." [More]
Nice to see an outlet with CNN's resources finally discovering the ridiculous rules contradict each other and are impossible to consistently comply with, something the rest of us with comparatively no resources have been pointing out for decades, generally after some poor victim of bureaucratic tyranny has had his life ruined.

It would have been nicer without the obligatory hysterical "weapon of choice among many mass shooters" intro in the accompanying video. Speaking of which, Lead Therapy breaks things down for us.

Lies of Omission

And the Las Vegas Sun decided to sit on this information for a year. In Nevada. A battleground state that wasn’t called for Biden until several days after Election Day. [More]

Fault Lines

A member of Canada’s elite special forces counterterrorism unit was wounded last fall when a newly-purchased handgun, with a history of misfires and injuries in the U.S., inexplicably went off during a training exercise at an Ottawa-area range, CBC News has learned. [More]

Not so quick there with "booger hook/bang switch" conclusions...

I'm trying to decide if I care. Perhaps Mr. Benny can advise...

Signs, Signs, Everywhere There's Signs

A gunman with a history of threatening medical workers ... Ulrich, a longtime resident of Buffalo, had "multiple contacts" with law enforcement dating back to 2003 ... Police reports show Ulrich had made threats of a mass shooting at the clinic in October 2018 ...Ulrich's former roommate ... said he was not surprised when he heard law enforcement on television reveal who they had arrested as a suspect ... "He was creepy, give you dirty looks ... He had a blank stare all the time." [More]

So let's review the bidding: The grabbers admit they "don’t know all the details here with this particular case," so naturally, the "solution" is to blood dance their way to due process-denying disarmament edicts against people not proven guilty of anything, and leave those who can't be trusted without a custodian free access to whomever they wish to attack next. As if "laws" stop "prohibited persons" "adjudicated unfit to stand for trial,” like this maniac from getting guns in the first place...

Did I miss anything?

UPDATE-- Apparently I did:

How does someone "adjudicated unfit to stand trial" get a "gun permit" instead of a padded room and meds?

Toning Down the Rhetoric, Opposite Day 'Progressive'-Style

I'd say I feel concerns about a chimera gap coming on, but I'm not so sure the same military "leaders" intent on purging their ranks feel that way.

Speaking of Unsportsmanlike Conduct...

Minnesota Timberwolves star Malik Beasley was just sentenced to 120 days in jail -- and banned from owning guns for life -- this after he pled guilty to felony threats for pointing a firearm at a family during a bizarre incident back in September. [More]

Between this, the banned national anthem and the Chicom deal, that makes today an NBA spate.

The same NBA that "teamed up" with Bloomberg...

Is there any doubt what cancel corporations would do to someone from a more disfavored group doing the same thing?

If "not in my right mind" Malik needs any investment advice on what to do with that $60M he recently signed a deal on, he might want to talk with Lil Uzi...

Universities’ Insane COVID Rules And Snitch Culture Are Training The Next Generation To Embrace Totalitarianism [More]

The object is to create accepting institutional inmates, not free citizens, and the foundational work is done in K-12.  Why do you think so many go into meltdown hysterics when they see someone with a gun who is not a guard?

As an aside, I was out on the porch last night streaming an old supernatural/airliner flick with the space heater cranked to "High" and a nice Maduro and two fingers of Bulleit, and was delighted to see an old WoG regular playing the role of a woman passenger.

They're Not Going to Stop with Expulsions

The claims about Caldwell’s high-security clearance and FBI service add to concerns about extremism in the military and law enforcement. The indictments against numerous alleged rioters with military and police connections have led local agencies to open investigations and the Pentagon to order each military branch to dedicate time to addressing the problem in the coming months. [More]

First off, if you want to convince me that this man is guilty of anything, I'm going to need more than MSN subversives hyperventilating about "masterminds."

What I really take away from this -- and from other official statements about purging the ranks of Constitutionalists -- is how it wouldn't take much to gin up demands for dishonorable discharges, and thus for a lifetime "prohibited person" gun ban on men with military training who are viewed by the violence monopolists as a threat to their unchecked power.

Strange Games Continued

There are no white hats coming to save us. It is now up to millions of truculent, disagreeable, angry, deplorable citizens to undermine the establishment and force this empire built on a foundation of unpayable debt to collapse. It might seem like a daunting task, but each individual act of resistance is like a grain of sand added to the unstable pile. No one knows which grain will trigger the catastrophic failure of the system. We are all capable of becoming the straw that broke the camel’s back. [More]

We saw Part 1 yesterday. I'm glad to see he acknowledges that at some point hands are going to need to get dirty, just like the Founders did when noting the long train of abuses and an ultimate right to alter and abolish that which is destructive to the ends of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

History Repeats Itself

The Athenian government disloyal to Athens’ laws and contemptuous of its traditions was known as the Thirty Tyrants, and understanding its role and function helps explain what is happening in America today. [More]

As an aside, the observation that "The NBA’s $1.5 billion contract with digital service provider Tencent made the Chinese firm the league’s biggest partner outside America" explains much.

Hate is Hate

In the name of equity, the SPLC announced that it’s shutting down its black nationalist hate groups category like the Nation of Islam. After “doing the internal work of anti-racism”, the SPLC will no longer list black racist hate groups because “the hate is not equal”. [More]

So there's no opposite equivalent to "Love is Love"?
