Sobering Thoughts

SCOTUS asked to take up State v. Weber, Ohio case with Second Amendment implications [More]

Because right now, if you have indulged in enough adult beverages in your own home to the point where you couldn't legally drive and someone breaks in, you're forbidden by law to defend yourself with a firearm.

I detailed my arguments here.

Who has faith the Roberts court will consider this?

Freedom Is Slavery

Was the Constitutional Right to Bear Arms Designed to Protect Slavery? [More]

I don't expect them to ask the Designer, but that's what they want everyone to believe.

How else can proponents be portrayed as dangerous racists who need to be disarmed?

Play Stupid Games...

A man who was shot and killed by a plainclothes San Jose police officer after pointing a gun at the officer was being surveilled at the time after being let out on bail from an armed robbery arrest, police said Wednesday. [Watch]

Well, that certainly turned into "END POLICE TERROR" quickly...

Situation Normal, AFU

The Spring 2021 Legislative Session is over for the Illinois General Assembly.  The good news is nothing bad passed.  The bad news is nothing good passed. [More]

The grabbers will be back. It's what they do.

Federal Bureau of Incompetence

This is so embarrassing for the feds. A paid informant lied to them and the FBI just took him at his word. [More]

So who's the contemptible snitch? I thought lying to authorities was a crime. What reason would they have for not charging him?

Anything at All

"They didn't have to kill him. He would have given them anything they wanted." [More]

He did.

So did Uber.

Hey, if three of the suspects are still at large and are known to be desperate, armed, and dangerous, don't public safety "authorities" think it might be a good idea to publicize descriptions, and names and photos if they have them, so those still at risk can either help apprehend or avoid them?

I checked out his Facebook. It looks like what he wanted most in life was to be a loving father.

Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush announces run for attorney general against Ken Paxton [More]

Read my lips: No new Bushes.

Especially one who will "find common ground" to turn Texas blue.

Good thing that has nothing to do with that "single issue"...

For the Children

Kitwana McTyer, president and CEO of Florida United Methodist Children’s Home, where the children lived, called the incident "tragic" and said it is "the result of the system failing our children." [More]

"Our" children?

But in a way, she's right. Those running "the system" have incentivized and weaponized a genie that ain't going back in the bottle.

That's Gratitude for Ya

“They stood there repeatedly shooting at him,” Burnham said. “They shouldn’t have did that.” She and Fleming were together 15 years and have two children together. “So now they gotta live with no father,” she said. [More]
That they would otherwise have ended up living with no mother does not seem to be up for discussion here.

'So…You Voted for Biden, Ah?'

First and foremost, let me just say at the outset, I blame every single one of you for all that I see going wrong in our great nation today. [More]

Being a useful idiot does not excuse citizenship malpractice.

Speaking of 'Systemic Racism'...

High school program sponsored by several NY colleges does not allow white students to apply... Five of the nine schools participating in the program — including Medgar Evers College, SUNY New Paltz, SUNY Oswego, the University at Buffalo, and Westchester Community College — are public universities funded by New York state. [More]

That's funny-- the Department of Justice doesn't seem to be interested in this for some reason. Let's see if we can change that.

Examining the Innards

Reeves & Dola does a deep dive so we can better understand the machinations ATF is using to "justify" its latest proposed infringement.

A Part III will be forthcoming.

Their Share of the Blame

Guilt for January 6 Belongs With Those Most Eager to Condemn It - George Will, Peggy Noonan, and other estimable friends bear a heavy responsibility in the disaster that has now been riveted on the backs of the American people and the world. [More]

Good overall analysis... I just don't get why this guy still wants to be friends with them.

Another 'Progressive' Opposite Day

Academic Study: Gun Turn-Ins (“Buybacks”) Increase Crime committed with Guns [More]

True, but decreasing crime was never the intended goal of the men behind the curtain.

One More Factor to Add

Gutowski on NPR: Two Factors Will Determine the Future of the Gun Debate [More]

I don't see "Killing men like me" on the list. Besides, it's not about guns, it's about freedom, and that's not debatable.

The Entitled Political Hypocrite Loophole

Nikki Fried Announces Her Candidacy for Governor of Florida ... She boasts that she holds both a medical marijuana card and a concealed-weapons permit. [More]

And no one reported this gun-grabbing hypocrite to ATF? Or more like they know but have been instructed to look the other way?

How about everybody else getting the same "courtesy"?

Maybe that's another question Senate Republicans should ask David Chipman.

Armed American Radio Redux

Mark talks with David Codrea and Chris Chiafullo from FFLGuard about the looming problems dealers will face with Chipman at head of the ATF. [Listen]

It took a minute or two to get through some live radio technical glitches, but things were soon back on track and I thought we managed to get some good information out there.

I actually prefer to watch the show on Facebook, but can't do that and work at the same time, so I listen to it playing in the background.

Everything You Know is Wrong

I am no expert on epidemics. Like everyone else I know, I spent the pandemic doing as I was told. A few months ago I even tried to talk a Fox News viewer out of believing in the lab-leak theory of Covid’s origins. The reason I did that is because the newspapers I read and the TV shows I watched had assured me on many occasions that the lab-leak theory wasn’t true, that it was a racist conspiracy theory, that only deluded Trumpists believed it, that it got infinite pants-on-fire ratings from the fact-checkers, and because (despite all my cynicism) I am the sort who has always trusted the mainstream news media. [More]

Now let's talk about stolen elections.

Or "systemic racism."

Or "immigration."

Or "tolerance."

Or guns.

Or...

The DSM: Is it any wonder I love them so?

And that "political earthquake" will be all talk. The elites have seen China's monolithic military posture and our emphasis on diversity being our strength, and the last thing they want is to admit reality and treat things with actual resolve.

Say, you don't think this post may violate any "community standards," do you...?
