Harriet Gave to Hillary

Harriet Miers' political contributions to Democrats didn't end in 1988 with her support of Al Gore.

I'm sure there will be no shortage of apologists who will point out it was her PAC and not her personally, and tell you why this doesn't matter.

More Kool-Aid, please...

  1. The people who salivate everytime Bush smiles will surely bless and forgive her every misstep. I think she reeks of Sen. Palpatine in looks and outlook. If this old crone makes it to the bench of wheezers, kiss the rest of the Constitution and former Bill of Rights goodbye. How the (expletive deleted) did this Republic ever arrive at point where a (unbelievable gross characterization) can even be considered for such a post.

  2. Daah, daah, daah, dah dah daah, dah dah daah,...(Emperor's March)

This pretty much means that I won't be voting Republican anymore.

Sean, the Republic died during the reign of King FDR.

  4. Some folks are saying that Miers is pro gun because she carries one. Let’s not forget that Feinstein and Chucky Schumer also carry guns. That means nothing, other than the fact that some folks believe that they should be able to carry, but we shouldn’t.

I’m going to have to hear something more convincing than “Harriet Miers carries a gun, and thus Harriet Miers is pro-gun” to convince me…

  5. To play Devil's Advocate for a moment..... It is my understanding that Miers was a Democrat and a liberal until about a decade and a half ago. That she subsequently converted to conservatism and became a Republican, as opposed to republican or not? We don't know.

However, I would like to point out that often the most fervent believers are the converts. Not sure how or if this applies in this case, but it is something to consider.

  6. Adjunct to previous post.

It is also true that the least committed are the easiest to convert.

How does one know that is not the case and a reverse conversion is in the offing?

Damn, if this was easy they would let .....no, wait they already do. I was going to say "idiots do it"
