Columbus Murder Rate Near 100

But just wait--the impact of that "assault weapon" ban is going to kick in any day now and drive those numbers into the cellar...

  1. Thank god they banned assault weapons. So no one was assaulted with an assault weapon. I mean except for the weapon they were assaulted with. Which makes it an assault weapon doesn't it? Except not a banned assault weapon. So they can congratulate themselves on a job well done. Except it wasn't. Well done. But at least the law-abiding citizens didn't have one. So we can be comforted in that only criminals had weapons to assault law-abiding citizens with. But not assault weapons. Right?

Or were they just protecting their phony-baloney jobs?

  2. "...near 100" is an absolute number, not a rate.
What do they teach in journalism schools these days?
