Boss, Our Chains Are Too Loose...

It is too easy to buy a gun in Maine. And in New Hampshire. And in Vermont.

Just ask the people in Massachusetts, where it is much tougher to get a firearm -- at least legally.

And while you're at it, ask the people in Massachusetts why their violent crime rate is higher than these "easy" states.

Does anybody actually buy this rag and support these enuretic bleaters?

  1. I believe it's the same tactic that the city politicians in D.C. are using. Crime with guns is out of control in D.C because our neighbor, Virginia, has such lax gun laws.

It simply a last-ditch effort by politicians to focus the blame on something else other than their own failed crime prevention policies.

  2. I would bet that the majority of residents in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont do not carry firearms. It is even probable that the majority do not own firearms.

Due to the lack of illegal restrictions and infringements of the second amendment however, a criminal has no way to know which potential victim has availed himself of the right to keep and bear arms, therefore making victim selection a crap shoot and quite possibly a criminal shoot. Much more care must be exercised by cowardly criminals in these states than in venues such as Massachusetts or D.C. or NYC where the potential victims are mandated by law to be helpless and defenseless. The odds are much more favorable to the criminal element in these places and the criminal may proceed with his enterprise with much more assurance of safety, thanks to the legislators, political leaders and police in these venues.

Do the math. So called "easy" states are easy states to protect yourself in, while the "strict" states really "crack down" on self protection. It is no wonder the easy states have less crime, they don't tolerate and protect the criminal from immediate reprisal, nor do they supply him with legal(those that obey the law against self-defense) victims.

  4. I think Jason and straightarrow hit the nail on the head. It's a desperate attempt by the banners to try and reverse any gains we have made to date. They are grasping at straws here to try and place the blame for their spiraling crime rate on anyone but themselves. We all know that it's been shown time and again, that it's the very idea of criminals NOT knowing who has a gun, that keeps the crime rate down. And in Masshysteria, the bad guys know that almost NO ONE carries due to the asinine laws they have. So they feel safe to rape, rob and murder.
