A former Oconomowoc police officer was sentenced Monday to one year of probation on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge accusing him of firing a handgun out a car window on a night of heavy drinking.I just take comfort knowing that if it had been you or me, the judge would also have "stayed" our jail term and issued probation.

Isn't he lucky there weren't firearms "in the vicinity"? He could have gotten 55 years. Oh, wait a minute, that is if they are in the vicinity and/or not seen (such as the possibility of an ankle holster?) or fired.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky bastard, both of them. The cop for knowing that shooting it is better than having it in the vicinity and the judge for not being morally conflicted.
