We're the Only...Hey--What Happened to Our Immunity...?

Ten years in prison would be excessive punishment for three state police officers accused on weapons charges, according to a letter issued Tuesday by top police officials and two state senators...The three troopers were charged last month with violating federal firearms regulations by having illegal submachine guns at their homes.
Gee, they're lucky they weren't Branch Davidians.

Y'know, I've got to stop being so judgmental about this stuff. I'm sure these LEO bosses and politicos would also put in a good word against excessive punishment if it was you or me being charged...

  1. Welcome to THE REAL WORLD! Hope these clowns realize what B.S. all this ILLEGAL and UNCONSTITUTIONAL 'Gun Control' is!

Perhaps if they cry enough to the Federal CRIMINALS something might get changed, (Not going to hold my breath however).

NEW FLASH! YOUR NOT THE 'ONLY ONES'!

  2. I agree that ten years is not appropriate. Ten should be the starting point, then add on the time for being officers of the law that violated their oaths, and relied on color of uniform to excuse their criminal activity. Activity they would have sought the maximum penalty for any non law enforcement citizen.

You know what you call a cop that breaks the law? A CRIMINAL.

  3. Anyone got the name of those police chiefs and Senators? Maybe they would write a lot MORE letters for citizens accused of having the wrong firearms in the wrong places!

"Besides Ruebhausen, the area police chiefs who signed the letter are, Chris Sullivan, Alton; Richard Miller, Granite City; Scott Williams, Collinsville; Patrick Delaney, Sauget; Joe Brauer, Waterloo; Joe Edwards, Columbia; William Webber, Wood River; Darren Carlton, East Alton; and Brian Vielweber of Smithton."

If I lived under the jurisdiction of any of those cheifs, I would be sending them a letter filled with a few choice comments, and doing everthing in my power to get their job.
