The Ministry of Public Security has drawn up new rules and babies’ names must in future be drawn from a database that excludes thousands of rare Chinese characters...With the introduction of electronic identity cards, the authorities will register only names that they decide to include on their database.
If I have any more kids, I want to name them Jingjing and Chacha!
Is there no limit to how much of our lives those in power wish to control? This is a great real-world illustration of how far tyranny against the individual extends, and how deeply it intrudes, when the state enjoys a monopoly of force.

ReplyDeleteNo, silly. Remember? ABSOLUTE POWER, CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY!
Jingjing and Chacha have been previously employed. PAPA GOV DEEMS IT NECESSARY to name your urchins number '664' and '665'!
You shall comply or penalties will be immediately implemented! That is all! Dismissed!
It's not hard not control a society of braindead morons. And unfortunatly, thats where we are headed. With the direction the public schools are headed, the general population in about 20 years will be easy to control. You dumb them down enough now,(which they are) they won't know enough to resist later. If you think I'm crazy, check out the book "The Harsh Truth About Public Schools" by Bruce N. Short. It's a true horror story that any parent with kids in school should read.
ReplyDeleteAnd David, Would you check out my site and put it on your blogroll?
