Victory in Glendale

In "Treason in Glendale," I passed along information about a proposed ordinance to ban guns and ammunition on city property in Glendale, CA. It turns out my suspicion that this was aimed at killing the Glendale Gun Show was correct, as a news account that Nicki Fellenzer reported on proved.

I got this follow-up from activist Steve Dergarabetian :
We sent hundreds of emails throughout the day urging the council members to vote against it. We went to the City Council meeting. The subject of the ordinance came up around 7:30 PM. The city attorney advised the mayor that he recieved an email from Chuck Michel, the NRA's attorney, of a lawsuit if this ordinance passed. The mayor wanted to postpone the vote, but Councilman Yousefian insisting on voting & killing the deal once and for all. At that point, the other 3 voiced their support for the 2nd Amendment and how they gave an oath to the Constitution when they were elected.

So basically, it went down 4 to 1 and we won. The motion was withdrawn forever (until next time at least).

By the way, there is a show at Glendale this coming Saturday & Sunday.

You can access individual webpages for the council, including their email addresses, by clicking here. A note of appreciation to the council members for their correct vote--and particularly to Mr. Yousefian for taking point on this-- would not be out of order. Mayor Manoukian might also benefit from some insights from freedom-minded people...

  1. As posted earlier. I've run across an interesting little 'tidbit' in the Federalist Papers. This can be applied to ANY public SERVANT attempting to introduce TREASONOUS and Constitutionally perverse 'law'. As well as violations of 'Civil' law;

    "And as to the conduct of the officers of the revenue, the provision in favor of trial by jury in criminal cases, will afford the security aimed at. WILFUL ABUSES OF A PUBLIC AUTHORITY, TO THE OPPRESSION OF THE SUBJECT, and EVERY SPECIES OF OFFICIAL EXTORTION, ARE OFFENSES AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT, FOR WHICH THE PERSONS WHO COMMIT MAY BE INDICTED AND PUNISHED according to the circumstances of the case." - Alexander Hamilton, Federalist #83

    Let's see now, there's; Biden, Blagojevich, Bloomberg, Boxer, Clinton, Corzine, Daly, Daschle, Durbin, Feinstein, Kennedy, Kerry, Lautenberg, Leahy, Leiberman, Lugar, Milkulski, Rockefeller, Schumer, SCOTUS, (This list is getting rather lengthy, isn't it?)

    And those, (along with quite a few others), would be just the Federal cases.

    Then would come the CIVIL cases. How much money does Bloomberg have again? Kennedy seems to be 'loaded', (in more ways than one), as well. Feinstein and Schumer dress well, wonder how much 'mammon' they have?
