Responsible gun owners have nothing to fear from a bill in the General Assembly that would help to close a loophole in state law governing illegal trafficking in guns...The legislation would put the responsibility for a gun's safe-keeping squarely with the owner. Specifically, it would require owners to store guns to avoid "a substantial and unjustifiable risk" they'll be stolen. The bill would also require gun owners to report a lost or stolen firearm to police within 72 hours.Read another way: Responsible gun owners have nothing to fear from a bill that will make them responsible for something they're not responsible for. Honest.
"Nothing to fear..."
ReplyDeleteRight! And I have a deed to the Golden Gate Bridge that I'm selling cheap!
Isn't that the way it started in the UK? Seems like they made some stupid ass law that made gun owners spend thousands and thousands of dollars to store their guns and those that did not comply had their guns confiscated. After that it was a short leap to get them all. Watch this one closely...
ReplyDeleteAim small, miss small.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I think that a bill to close a loophole in state law governing illegal trafficking in lawmaking. Would be far more beneficial.
