In light of the FBI Hostage Rescue Team's sterling examples at Waco and Ruby Ridge, I just wondered if they've ever actually rescued any hostages--as their name implies their mission to be.
I also wondered--if they had--how much we've spent on their activities since the agency's inception, and if that has been evaluated against the number of successful hostage rescues--not as a means of putting a price on human life, but as a way of determining government effectiveness.
An anonymous commenter maintains HRT are the good guys, and people like me--who "take the word of murderers"--are what's wrong with this country.
And I try so hard to please everybody.
David, Patriots like you are about the only thing RIGHT with this country. It appears anon. will take the word of govt. murderers over anyone else's so that by bleating loudly thus, he will convince them to kill him last. I used to be disgusted by people like him, but now I'm just amused. Don't never change and keep on sluggin', you are cherished by more than you know.
ReplyDelete+1 on that.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like now-a-days as long as a department has a nice euphemism for their name like say... "Hostage Rescue Team" they can do whatever they please at any cost with no questions asked.
If that is the case let's just call our next JBT group the department of bunnies and hugs, everyone likes bunnies and hugs, right?
What Sean said, except I don't think I can get to the "amused" state; such people still disgust me.
ReplyDeleteBrain dead twits like "anonymous" are a good reason for turning off comments in really old posts.
ReplyDeleteGhod only knows what kind of crap gets deposited there a year later by knotheads playing with search engines.
I always figured they're more like "HuRT", because they put the hurt on anyone who thinks the Constitution means what it says.
ReplyDelete"An anonymous commenter maintains HRT are the good guys"
ReplyDeleteThan why did he post anonymously?
I've reasoned this thought in another light. And it apllies to the whole FBI rather than just the JBT arm.
In my view, we already have more than sufficient L.E. on the state and local level. NSA, CIA, Federal Marshall's and now Homeland Security would seem more than enough as far national interests are concerned.
Have went even farther in my reasoning. Given the name of the agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation. Shouldn't they be investigating crimes that are Federal in nature? Such as, oh let's say, thieving politicians? Or, corruption in the judiciary? Or any federal employee that usurps against the rights of their employers, (you know, We The People)?
Has anyone ever thought of why there is not an agency delegated that authority? I know there was supposed to be. But the Framers had assumed there would always be at least SOME, if not just ONE uncorrupt government servant. Guess they were wrong.
