The mayors of more than a dozen cities, including Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels, concluded they must do what Congress has failed to do: fight for rational gun laws. Here's the new soundbite--expect to see its use spread.
The antis have been using "common sense gun laws," but I guess that's just not snappy enough. Now the buzzword du jour is "rational," with the clear implication that if you disagree, why, you must be irrational...
"Seattle police were aghast at the amount of weapons and ammunition he had assembled."
ReplyDeleteWhy is it anytime someone owns more than one firearm and has more than 100 rounds of ammo, people are "aghast"? It baffles me. I'm surprised favorite media words such as "arsenal" or "stockpile" weren't introduced in the article.
Of course leave it to these jack a**es to fill in the gap:

Well, they can call it "rational" all they want, but it's still the same irrational crap! Same as when it was "common sense" and there wasn't a lick of common sense in it at all.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I disagree because I don't like rationing. :)
ReplyDeleteMost of the time when we go to the range - every time we make the trip up to a nice outdoor range for some rifle time, and especially this coming weekend when we'll load up for a 'gunnie' picnic, I like to think of how aghast the most GFW local TV station would view the contents of my van.
ReplyDeleteI've been known to refer to it as the 'Rolling Arsonal Of Death'.
Then again, what's so bad about three shotguns, 4 pistols, two rifles, one assault rifle and one sniper rifle? Oh, can't forget the several thousand rounds of ammunition.
Makes me happy just remembering what a fine day that was.
It's about time we elected in some rational politicians; the ones we have must have been standing in the wrong ration line when brains were issued...
ReplyDeleteI suggest they stick their heads up their behinds and fight for air..... Oh, right, never mind.
