Is That a Screwdriver in Your Pocket...?

A customer carrying a gun foiled a man who attempted to rob a fast-food restaurant with a screwdriver in his pocket, police said.
Well what do you know?

    But, but...what if he had shot and missed the suspect and wounded or even killed an employee or another patron? The suspect only had a screwdriver. The presence of a gun only complicated the situation and endangered the lives of those present.

    Hey, at least he had his permission slip .... er, I mean his "valid" permit (as opposed to "invalid"). Everyone should grovel and thank the (permit) issuing authority ... not Mr. Sherlock.
