U.S. mayors, who have pledged to reduce the criminal use of firearms, continue to ignore the firearm industry’s offer of assistance and cooperation. Instead, the leaders of the mayors’ effort seem more interested in media events than real progress, according to officials of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF).Memo to Lawrence Keane:
Go rent the movie "Independence Day."
Go the the scene where the president tries to communicate with the captured alien, to see if there's anything we can do to peaceably coexist.
"What do you want from us?" he asks.
Everybody remember its reply?
Their reply?
ReplyDelete"DIE"
We weren't slaves to them: we were food! And that's what those "mayors" want: for us to die!
It would be much better that the mayors were fertilizer....
ReplyDeleteas much as I feel like I'm beating a dead horse I have to say it again....
ReplyDeleteThere are countless non-violent drug offenders locked away, there are way too damn many of these scumbags who commit violent crime while armed (I'd be willing to bet 95% repeat felony offenders) who get out on "good behavior" or due to lack of space.
instead of letting them go, let the pot heads and users out and slam these pukes away for a long, long, HARD time, no cable, no x-box, no nothing but hard time. The system is a joke.
Until they're put away for a damn long time you can blabber on until you turn blue in the face and not one single thing will change.
I've been on the same horse for years, HH, I just don't focus that much on it or other issues because to me the main thing is the gun issue. You may be interested in this:

My only point of contention--for the really bad people we need to keep segregated for our own safety--I would give them a chance to earn their keep plus some privileges through productive work--particularly if they are ever to see the light of day again. If they still want to be hard cases and not cooperate, I'd let 'em go--to No Man's Land Island, where they're truly on their own and ostracized, so that we would not need an establishment for coercing behavior from captive human beings--they'd be free--and we'd be free of them.
Yeah, haven't made it too deep in the archives yet, lets here.
ReplyDeleteIn any case, the answer isn't to let the ones intent on hurting other go to keep the folks intent on only hurting themselves locked up. beyond that I'm all ears for ideas on just what to do.
