A TEENAGER who made a gun gesture behind the back of Conservative leader David Cameron is appearing in court today charged with possession of cannabis.Yeah, that sounds like probable cause to get a warrant--I'm sure they'd have done the same if the "victim" had been an ordinary subject.
The 17-year-old youth was arrested after police searched a house in Wythenshawe on Saturday morning.

Speaking of Britain, and what apparently amounts to due process there, (by the way, does anyone know what the hell a "yob" is?), apparently this Chief Constable wants to run whole families out of town for gun crimes committed by one of their kids. I also like the fact that he wants people to face the courts for not squealing on a "gun offender."
ReplyDelete“Again, we have to make them care and make them report it. A victim or witness of gun crime who doesn’t help police in their investigations is helping to keep guns on our streets and they too should be taken to court for putting our society in jeopardy.”
The worst part is, I can think of more than a couple people here in the States who probably think these sound like stellar ideas.
Problem is, if they pull that garbage on me, they'll have to make sure I die in jail, 'cause they'll have a new enemy.
ReplyDeleteGood thing he didn't point both index fingers at him; he might have been arrested for having an arsenal.
ReplyDeleteA "YOB" is what we here in the States would call a punk, or hoodlum.
ReplyDeleteBasically unruly mobs of younglings looking for trouble.
My wife worked in England for about 6 months as a kinda-social worker. "YOB" is an acronym of sorts. It is either Youth of Benefit, Youth Offending Board, Youth Offending Boy... something like that. I cannot remember 100%
ReplyDeleteJust think people. This is where a good part of the colonists originally came from. There and Germany. Up until ours, the Brits were supposed to have the best Constitution. Look at them now. Hell, look at us now.....
ReplyDeleteIt don't seem all that strange to me.
ReplyDeleteIt appears fer all the werld to me to be Nannyism. Round up a random 100,000 nannies. How many are men?
I hate to sound like a Neanderthal ... but jest outta curiosity, what year were women allowed to vote?
Fer centuries, ya had male-dominated politics. Even when one 'er two women did have some sorta power, they made most men look like pansies. Then, almost overnite, ya water-down politics with ... well ... a woman's touch.
It also appears to me that most folks believe there's only two political sides ... conservatives ... and liberals. I personally believe there's a third ... nannies ... some of them men. And they've infiltrated the other two.
That's why it always sucks ... no matter who wins.
