The family of a teenager who was accidentally killed by his best friend is suing a Martin County deputy whose handgun was stolen and used in the shooting. This is an interesting set of circumstances--everyone mentioned in this story is in the wrong.

With all the laws being passed tat criminally charges a gun owner or allows him to be sued if he doesn't report a theft soon enough, do you think this deputy will suffer any consequences? Not at all, because he is an "Only One"!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with David; it would seem that everyone here had some responsibility in the matter; the kids for playing with guns, and the deputy who (in my opinion) shouldn't have left a firearm in a place where it could attract attention and be stolen. Firearms should be brought indoors when possible, not left in plain view in your driveway.
