On Wednesday June 6, 2007; the BATFE has submitted a letter to Judge Edward Lodge requesting the termination of the preliminary injunction that was granted to Red’s Trading Post on April 30th by Judge Lodge.
Per Ryan Horsley via email:
As predicted the ATF is asking for a termination of our injunction, this would prohibit us from buying or selling ANY GUNS!
This is nothing less than the premeditated assassination of a family business, the motives being vendetta and intimidation. Look at the allegations and ask yourself how any reasonable person could construe any concern to public safety.
And remember, folks, this fascist enterprise was originally conceived as a revenue agency. Seems we've wandered pretty far afield from the original treasonous rationale.
John Hansen, Kylie Williamson, and Area Supervisor Linda Young just put legalistic crosshairs on their own faces and careers in a blatant fashion, being "only ones."
ReplyDeleteWhere do we chip in to stomp them in court?
This is so clearcut as far as abuse of power, it needs to be pursued as heavily as possible. Legalistically it's in the league with playing teeball and we need a heavy bat to hit this one out of the park.
Big elections coming up, single issue voters abound on our side. Let's scare the hell out of Washington.
Unintended Consequences are still CONSEQUENCES. It only will get worse if we don't dogpile them for a change.
I'm open to suggestions here. Frankly, it's demoralizing to know that the ATF is basically making the case that Ryan's non-alphabetical filing system is a threat to public safety, and the judge appears to be taking it seriously.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to post tomorrow on writing to the judge, TJH.
ReplyDeleteBut I'll need help--people willing to write letters, and also to spread the word to other gun owners via emails and blogs to do the same.
I'll post the basic plan and some guidelines when I formulate them.

ReplyDeleteGOOD.
Was thinking the same thing. If we can find contact info somewhere, I think a letter-writing campaign is in order. Along with a letter to Gov. Otter.
I need to get more copies of "The Gang", so I can send it to several people on my list.
It's a good documentary BTW.

Good. You post the info, David, and I'll write a letter to Hizzoner.
