CNNtegrity

I was a bit dismayed and a little surprised to hear a CNN Headline News analyst refer to gun owners and "gun nuts" and "Second Amendment literalists" in
an offhand comment during a report on the recent TSA report of suspicious
activity.

Yet another example of why we lowly bloggers aren't considered "authorized journalists."

  1. Perhaps this would be a good time to point out his unintended admission/confession?

If we are "second amendment literalists" as he says, that means not only do we know what the second amendment literally means, but so does he.

Ergo, he has confessed to condoning the denial of rights to the free American citizen and thus eliminating freedom. For if literal interpretation of the Constitution is to be ignored, then there are no rules for anybody. No law means anything more or less than the person or persons wishing it different from its literal meaning.

Laws against murder should not be taken literally, his right to publish or express an opinion should not be taken literally, his right to presumption of innocence if accused of a crime should not be taken literally, nor should his right to a quick, speedy trial by a jury of his peers.

This stupid sonofabitch doesn't even know he just exposed exposed himself, LITERALLY.

  2. SA, you have to read the whole Constitution. There's a part on the last page where someone scribbled in the footer:

(juft kidding. if it'f for "focial juftice", you can juft make it up af you go along.)

Yeah right, nobody would codify natural rights and liberties and prescribe the mechanics of government and expect anyone to follow it to the letter. Just look at all the authoritarianism going on in other countries. Come on straightarrow, everybody's doing it. Don't you want it too? What are you, some kind of square?
