Montpelier Police Officer Kevin Buttars was charged last night with unnecessary assault by a police officer...You'll note it's a misdemeanor charge--I wonder what it would have been if roles had been reversed--and if there's such a thing as "necessary assault" for non-"Only Ones"?
The criminal complaint states Buttars shoved and choked Finley, slammed his head into a wall and possibly forced simulated sodomy on Finley.
And why can't I get this song out of my head?
