At least for today.
I've been fighting a particularly nasty bug all week--fevers, chills, racking coughs, headaches, rib aches, disorientation, weakness...I finally figured out trying to overcome things by sheer willpower wasn't working and went to the doctor and got a couple prescriptions, at least one of which does not promote industriousness and lucidity.
Bottom line--I've been sitting here at my computer for an hour and a half, mud-headed, and just can't think my way through posting things. If I get hit enough times with a 2 x 4, I can eventually take a hint. For the rest of today, the couch and the remote control represent the totality of my ambitions.
Get some rest and recharge; there is always tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteIndustriousness and lucidity is overrated. Well, when you're feeling under the weather that is. Take care and get well soon!
ReplyDeleteTake it easy--we can hold off the aspiring fascists for a day or two.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon!
ReplyDeleteGet your health back first, and be sure to take it easy until you do.
ReplyDeleteFeel better, Dave.
ReplyDeleteAnd watch out for the kids: they won't share their toys but they will share germs.
Here's a wish for good health and good news!
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't know anything in particular you might want good news about but I figure that by definition 'good news' is never a bad thing.
Oh, and while industriousness plus lucidity is a good thing I've found that industriousness minus lucidity leads to bad things (U.N., Democrats, carpeted walls, etc.)
When in doubt, just remember "zebny"
No, I don't know what it means but I have to type it and it looks like it should mean something
So it takes illness to finally slow Dave down. Get to feeling better. We appreciate you.
ReplyDeleteI've been there before. I'll always remember 1997 as "the year of the sinus infection." Sometimes you just have to stop.
ReplyDeleteI apologize. I must have accidentally sent you germs on my last email to you.
ReplyDeletedo you think there is a conspiracy afoot? Seems strange we both become ill with the very same symptoms days and miles apart. Could they be trying to silence us?
Oh, yeah, I think paranoia is a symptom of this bug, but it is hard to tell if it is the bug or if they really are out to get us.
Just to be on the safe side, you better have a food taster. That is if and when you get an appetite back.
seriously, get well.
Dang, son, rest up and take care of yourself. We'll still be here when you get back.
ReplyDeleteAin't Ohio great?
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, get better soon.
Get well, Mr. C.
ReplyDeleteTime to take a well-deserved rest for the mind, too. Perhaps a Grace Kelly movie.
You need some rest. We won't go away while you're recuperating.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a full recovery. Hope you're feeling better soon, David.
ReplyDeleteRest and relax, but don't get used to it :)
