URGENT ACTION NEEDED NOW!

CA MICROSTAMPING BILL ON ARNOLD'S DESK

From CALGUNS:

CALL Gov's Sac number (916-445-2841)

Press 1 - for English
Press 2 - for Voice your opinion on Assembly Bills
Press 1 - for Micro Stamping Bill (AB1471)
Press 2 to OPPOSE the gun control bill.

Via RuffRidr, who says:
You don't have to speak to anyone. This takes 20 seconds. That's it! I repeat, you do not need to speak to anyone,
and Les K, who also reminds us:
And if you are out of state, remember, there are other states looking to impose similar state (and federal) legislation, so feel free to call in and post your opinions too.
UPDATE: I note some have said it took several attempts to get through. That shows people are calling, so we should make sure most of the calls are from us. I had luck of the draw and got right through--mission accomplished in that 20 seconds RuffRidr was telling us about.

  1. Done. Although I'd suspect they'd see an OOS number and discard it, but it's worth a try.

  2. I got a busy signal the first three or four times but I eventually got through. Still only took a couple of minutes.

  3. This is spreading like wild fire on the gun forums, so I'm not surprised that they are getting a lot of calls. If you don't get through, keep trying. I realize that they may discard out of state numbers, but its worth a try. It takes very little time to do this. Californians, it is very important for you all to do this. Please take the time and do it now!

  7. done. got through 1st try. also on hold to ask gov to sign the katrina anti-confiscation legislation... also, small part of me wants the micro bill to pass - with so much apathy, and over DROS transactions EVERY DAY in CA (i am a dealer, so i know how many are processed daily), maybe gun owners need thier sacred cow goured (sp?)

  8. Done in two tries from TX.

  9. i meant over 1000 DROS PROCESSED EVERY DAY - THAT MEANS AT LEAST 1000 MORE GUNS SOLD/TRANSFERED EACH DAY! AND HARDLY ANY OF THESE PEOPLE SPEAK UP.

  10. Done on the second try from Ohio. Like a Who single, it took two minutes fifty (but no modulation, and not near as good a beat).

  11. I got notice this morning through my CMP club's Yahoo!-groups email.
Here in CA I got through right away, it's a damn stupid bill - actually beyond stupid it's evil.
I wrote him a letter about it last time it came around, got a flabby Rhino response.

  13. Four or five tries to get through from the peoples republic of massachusetts. Hope to get this kind of support when something like this comes rolling through here. Not that it would do the citizens here any good. Our elected have their own agenda. Screw the people.

  14. I've been sidelined with the flu, but for this I had to crawl out of bed to the phone. It took me 5 tries here in California to get through, but I did it.

  18. Our elected have their own agenda. Screw the people. Sounds exactly like the California Legisluture - and the unfortunate, current representation in the Senate...

  26. It just dawned on me that we need to be calling from cell phones & office phones also! I suspect the call counting device recognizes multiple calls from the same # & disgards them.
