We're the Only Ones Green Enough

"I ask the citizens of Orem: How many of you would like to have your great-grandmother taken from her home with bruises and blood and placed in handcuffs for failing to water her lawn?" attorney Gloria Allred said.
Hey, what do you expect us to do, come up with non-coercive and non-violent solutions?

Damn right "the city attorney still is pressing charges." Maybe she won't give her name again and they can finish the job.

  1. "Betty Perry is charged with resisting arrest and failing to maintain her landscaping, both misdemeanors. She was arrested July 6 after failing to give her name to a police officer who visited her home. ... During a struggle, Perry fell and injured her nose. She spent more than an hour in a holding cell before police released her. ... A state investigation found that Officer James Flygare acted properly in arresting Perry after trying to get her to cooperate."

Were this my grandmother, officer Flygare would do well to leave the country, assuming he was still able to walk. But in this day and age, even people very close to this grandmother are surely going to allow this pig to continue operating in their community.

  2. Why is officer Flygare able to walk now? Where are all the relatives? I don't expect the "justice" system to do anything to the pig but doesn't this woman have friends or relatives who are willing to inflict some righteous violence?

  3. This is un-flipping-believable! In a State that has the worst water problems in the country, they are persecuting a grandma for not watering her lawn? Is this the US or have I stepped into some kind of Bizzaro world where everything the opposite of what is supposed to be.

  4. Oinker Flygare and the city attorney would be good examples for "Unintended Consequences". The family of Mrs. Perry "should do their duty".
