...and hopefully some young women, too.
A Keyboard and a .45 tells us about the National Collegiate Empty Holster Protest, coming soon (Oct. 22-26) to a campus near you.
Interesting idea. Look for plenty of hysteria on campuses where this happens, so I hope the protestors give adequate notice to preclude a SWAT response.
I look forward to the day when the holsters are filled and people think it's normal.
Clearly, the threat of a SWAT response is real, and dangerous. But stout hearted men and women must not shrink from danger for fear of harm. Indeed, that is why they must face it.
ReplyDeleteI say that someone, somewhere on some campus will get in big trouble for simply wearing an empty holster. Any bets? Sam
ReplyDeleteNo bet,Sam. Somebody already did, in Rockford, Il. David posted on it here and I think he even put up an explanation by the young man involved, who had been illegally detained and punished
ReplyDeleteSearch on this site and elsewhere for "Shaun Kranish"--he got popped for wearing a fanny pack.
ReplyDeleteSad. I hadn't heard about Mr. Kranish, but read his bio on Wikipedia. I'm not pooh-poohing the idea of empty holsters. But you can predict what will happen. Kids are getting suspended from school for bringing 2" plastic GI Joe guns, for drawing pictures of guns, for making a gun with the index finger, etc. When you show up with an empty holster, it means to the idiots out there that somewhere you have a gun that fits that holster and it makes them wet their collective panties. The whole country has a collective yeast infection. Sam
