We're the Only Ones Hushing You Enough

The state's top law enforcement official is drawing criticism for encouraging the public not to answer reporters' questions about a north woods shooting by an off-duty sheriff's deputy that left seven dead, including the gunman.

Let's see...cop goes on murderous rampage...911 went continuously unresponded to...

Yeah, I can see where the "Only Ones" wouldn't want the people affected participating in any independent investigations.

Thing is, it's a small town. If someone does decide to talk freely and openly, will there be repercussions?

That chilling sensation must just be a blast of air coming down from the north across the lake...

  2. Things like this will make people more curious and want to ask questions and answer reporters if they know something.

Also, when a cop goes on a shooting..Just ignore it, accept maybe talk about how the poor officer was in tears afterward.

However, if a normal citizen goes on a shooting:

    1.) Charge the mother with a non-crime.

2.) Carry the news story for days.

    3.) Hold a press-conference with the shooter's Airsoft-arsenal all over the table.

4.) Talk about how disturbed people like this are and how we need to watch out for them, profile them, snitch on "non-normals", etc..

The Only-Ones go on a shooting: feel sorry for them. The poor things.

You and I carry out a crime: We are evil, EVIL and of course need to be controlled.

  3. Weeeellll, let's see why there should be a hush-hush.

The weapon wasn't purchased by the shooter. It was department issue.

    911 calls went unanswered.

    This guy was a cop.

He shot at people who were, by law, required to be unarmed.

I don't know why the mayor isn't encouraging everyone to tell what they know. It only makes the cops look like incompetent and says NOTHING about civilian gun ownership.
