Who Will Protect the Protectors?

A college district spokeswoman confirmed the victim attended the college. Police aides are non-sworn district employees who wear uniforms but do not carry weapons.

It doesn't seem like chasing suspects is a particularly advisable course of action under those conditions. I would hope the training is to stay well back and radio in a report.

Still, it makes me wonder what good college escort programs are when the protector can't even protect himself.

  1. Two sheep are slightly safer than a lone sheep. That is why herds work. And it makes touchy-feely types feel like they are "doing something". Of course, two armed individuals would be monumentally safer than two sheep.... but that would take away too many of the victims that warped socialists enjoy pitying.

  2. Two sheep are not safer tnan one, it's just that the odds of harm are shared. With each sheep hoping he is the lucky one, and the the other sheep gets eaten while he gets away.

That is what is so immoral about people acting like sheep. The willingness and the hope that the unfettered predator will score on his brother and not him, given enough choices to make the odds for each sheep slimmer.

What they don't count on is the proliferation of wolves due to the easy pickings. Making their demise inevitable.
