We're the Only Ones Declining Enough

She admitted to drinking two beers and declined to take a breathalyzer test.

...The charge of refusing to take a breathalyzer test was dismissed as part of the plea agreement...

Nah, I see no evidence of professional "Only One" courtesy, do you...?

  1. I do believe if you refuse the test, you lose your driver's license. I didn't see anyone talking about "implied consent".

For that matter, nobody beat the living Hell out of her either.

Cops want respect, they demand fear, and yet we see daily they are incapable of meeting the lowest of standards they set for themselves and nowhere near capable of living under the rules and laws they enforce on others. Just what the Hell is there to respect about these weak sisters?

  2. SA,
If you refuse a BAC test then yeah you lose your license etc... However, you can refuse a breathalyzer and request a blood test which is the only way to go. Breathalyzers are notoriously bad with many of them giving false positives, or reporting a higher level than is actually present.

See, you have to clean and maintain the machines in a specific manner for them to be accurate. However, that results in fewer DUI convictions...

  3. I don't think every state allows the option of a BAC instead of a breathalyzer.

You are correct about the notorious inaccuracy of Breathalyzers. I suspect it is not unintentional.
