Notice of Opportunity

With his rubbish collected only once a fortnight, Gareth Corkhill's wheelie bin was so full the lid wouldn't shut.

And for that, the father of four finds himself with a criminal record.
Hard to believe this is what has become of the British Empire. They've managed to fulfill Orwell's and Welles' visions, what with calling an extortion payment demand a "Notice of Opportunity," and with the way the Morlocks treat the Eloi.

We're headed down that path ourselves, and I just don't get why so few apparently see that or care.

  1. It's "tyranny-denial". Part of it is being afraid to do what is right because of the laws against such actions.
In order to help counteract this, please send everyone you can to www.tolfa.us to teach them about liberty; why it matters, and how to "get there".
And remember, to get others to respect your rights you need to respect theirs.

  2. "And remember, to get others to respect your rights you need to respect theirs."-Kent

Why just the partial advice? Shouldn't the above statement finished with "and punish the Hell out of them if they don't respect yours."?

Just a thought, as I find you and I often seem to share the same brain.

  3. "Punishment" may not be necessary. Just exercise your rights and warn them to not get in the way. If they do, well, they were warned.

  4. The only way they can disrespect my rights is to try to curtail my exercise of them. I don't ask them to approve or like it, just don't interfere with them. Once they do, punishment is warranted.

  6. The only wrong thing he did
was to not push down his lid

Of course the lid wouldn't seat
because the garbage man was beat

He only came every other week
so, of course the trash overflowed
with such a huge multi-day load
It was odiferous and did reek.

So our brave officers who fear
to go anywhere around or near
really bad actors who will shoot,
up this citizen'a ass put a boot

    law enforcement plain, not fancy,
by the bobbies who are called nancy
they would work on violent crime
if only they had the time.

    but rousting normal peaceful men
allows them to pose and pretend
    while not taking a stand
they pretend to give a damn.

    The crims, thugs and muggers
get the benefit of the huggers
who will not condemn what they do
as long as they have the peaceful to screw.
