FAIRFAX: Reversing almost nine years of policy advocacy, NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre has repudiated his earlier pronouncement that "we believe in absolutely gun-free, zero-tolerance, totally safe schools. That means no guns in America's schools, period ... with the rare exception of law enforcement officers or trained security personnel."This would be stunning news, if true. "I was wrong," LaPierre now writes in the April 1 issue of "America's First Freedom Magazine."

Darn! I got all excited at the prospect.
ReplyDeleteQuite possibly the harshest AF joke I've ever come across.
ReplyDeleteIf only Wayne would wake up...
And April Fool's day claims another victim.
ReplyDeleteI'm such a ninny--that's the second year in a row I walked into your April Fool's joke.
ReplyDeleteYou're a very bad man ;-).
You bastard.
ReplyDeleteI didn't buy it for a second. LaPierre is too arrogant to ever admit he was wrong. And he is too corrupt to take such a substantive step toward addressing the problems he so dearly needs and relies upon for his continued reign and operation Money Train.
ReplyDeleteNice try, though.
Like Straightarrow, I figured it was a joke. Can't help but hope, though.
