Playing the Percentages

With one gun shop in Madison, another on the way in Franklin and his own custom gun manufacturing business, Uselton says he’s proudly “150 percent behind the Second Amendment.”

Uselton is especially fond of the phrasing at the end of the amendment, “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

...But there’s one issue where Uselton breaks the party line and that’s on the topic of perceived lackadaisical laws surrounding sales at gun shows.
Whenever I hear anyone claim more than 100%, I think about this, particularly 103%.

And here's a guy who scores 118%:

“The place is crawling with ATF and TBI agents,” Goodman said. “At my shows, I’ve got a booth for the ATF...
While this fellow here has a better grip on the top number possible, you have to wonder if he understands what the upper limit really means:

Santos said while he is "100 percent behind the Second Amendment," he also supports the new measure.

  1. Ah the great Ed Santos.

"Openly carrying guns is allowable in many states, but Santos said he wonders if having guns in plain view on city streets while just being out and about was the intent of the law writers.

"I believe the intent was to allow it more for hunting and recreation," Santos said."

Yeah Ed, I'm pretty sure that the founding fathers were NOT talking about hunting and recreation. You are either a full on moron, or a traitor.

Really hard to tell where Mr. Santos stands. On the one hand he makes a tidy living selling guns and training folks. On the other hand he can't stop sounding like someone who plays for the other team.

There I just made up my mind, he's a traitor.

For the record I emailed Mr. Santos and asked if he was misquoted, or mispoke when this was published last year. He didn't respond.

  2. Besides his gun shops and manufacturing business, he’s also a deputy sheriff in Sumner County.... "it doesn’t do my business any good and it doesn’t do law-abiding gun dealers any good,” Uselton said, referring to the loophole.

    Only One.

Allows him to lord it over the peons who have to beg his permission and genuflect before his scrutiny in order to exercise their "inalienable" rights.

    Manufacturer

Just like Smith & Wesson, which supported GCA '68 because it was "good for business."

    Gun Dealer

Thinks private sales "don't do his business any good." Wants all gun sales to go through HIM, so that he gets his cut.

I wish there was a way to publicize this Nazi's views as widely as possible until his businesses collapse.
