A CITIZEN who watched a cop illegally park, then walk into a Chinese restaurant to wait for his food, has issued the officer a series of citizen-initiated parking violations.Don't you just love the "Only One" rationale?
"If someone broke into your house, would you rather have the police be able to park in front of your house or have to park three blocks away and walk there?"There was no crime emergency, just personal convenience, and if there had been a break-in, you would be parking at the scene. We all know that and it isn't even a rational argument. But isn't it interesting, how your immediate reaction is to use a deceptive ploy to cover your tracks?
It makes me wonder what other shortcuts you have conditioned yourself to employ to avoid accountability for willful abuses of power. And it makes me wonder if that corruption is isolated or institutionalized in your department.
What I don't wonder about is the character of someone who abuses the privileges of delegated authority and then tries to weasel out of the consequences.
Good for Mr. Bryan. And shame on you, Chad Stensgaard.

You should see the amount of county and state cop cars at the gym I use.
ReplyDeleteHell even park rangers and game wardens are doing it. Yeah it's rural out here but come on, that's our money being misused without even going into the entitlement mindset.
