"Warrior Mindset" is a class being offered by the North Little Rock Police Department. Taught by Dr. Jason Winkle, It is an opportunity to train with one of the most sought after tactical trainers in the country. You know, in case you need to shoot up a guy sleeping on his couch or something.
"The Warrior Mindset."
Chilling. The intentions could not be more clear. They are training for war.
So: Who all is for developing a "Militia Mindset"? You realize that question would scare the hell out of most people, who would also outright dismiss it as "wacko." There would even be those on "our side" telling us not to talk about that kind of stuff because "it makes us all look bad."
But "The Warrior Mindset"? Hey, that's OK to mainstream. They're here to protect us. If you're not doing something wrong, what's the big deal? And besides, "Only Ones" with guns don't scare us--just "regular people" do.

UPDATE: Brillianter thinks this is much ado about nothing.
Here is a good place to prepare for what is coming.

Warrior Mindset?
ReplyDeleteMolon Labe...
Hmmmmm. Chamness, in North Little Rock. Could this be the same fearless public servant who shot Tracy Ingles a while back after being assaulted by the sleeping man during a no-knock warrant service? Smokehouse

ReplyDelete"This class is limited to law enforcement and military only. Proper credentials are required."
ReplyDeleteThe "warrior mindset" is appropriate for ALL people who carry weapons. Denying this training to people who don't have "proper credentials" is evil.
Even Massad Ayoob, a nationally renowned firearms trainer is, or has been, infected with this disease. I couldn't get into his Lethal Force Institute classes back in the late 70's because I wasn't a cop, nor did I have a concealed carry permit.
In my medieval studies, I learn that ALL boys and men were expected to be warriors unless they had some handicap.
ReplyDeleteI've had a leetle, leeetle bit of "warrior mindset" training. It was: practice EVERYTHING, from how and where you wear your gun and reloads to how you'd bail out of a car under attack. What you do in training is EXACTLY what you'll do under stress, so practice as if every run were the real thing. Force-on-force with paintball, classroom dry-fire lessons emphasizing making your draw, reloads and jam-clearing automatic, without conscious thought. Don't let fear and excitement overcome reason and tactics; that's what makes us different from animals, who will freeze and then fight or flee. When attacking, break left or right after going through a door, and always be a moving target. Practice shooting while moving forward, backward or sideways. It scares the hell out of the enemy.
You won't die until you've accomplished your mission. If you're hurt, you're not dead.
If you saw "The Untouchables," you remember how they practiced jumping off the running boards of a moving car to look like real bad dudes and intimidate crooks. Today's cops are into all those mind games too. At the end of the day their feet hurt and smell, same as ours. You can probably already outshoot most of them, warrior.
To go along with this, I have noticed that the military channel is now including law enforcement episodes.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I would say they are preparing for war. An undeclard war, for they must not make the majority of people realize they are the enemy in that warrior mindset.
David, things keep going the way they are, we will have to develop a "militia mindset" whether we want to or not.
ReplyDeleteWow! I haven't heard that one in a long time, cabinboy! Still stirring, after all these years!
ReplyDeleteI remember that as a Disney movie, back when Disney was patriotic. Now, it's all poitical correctness, and the Bill of Rights does not apply at Disneyland.
Yes. Learn how to become a felon and be more popular than ever,at Suarez International. We've enough convicted constables using thesauri to make believe they've reinvented the wheel, anonymous.
ReplyDeleteThis class is limited to law enforcement and military only.
ReplyDeleteThey're the "Only Ones" warriors enough to be able to learn how to better infringe upon your rights...
I've been saying for some time that the police are becoming too militarized, and the military is becoming a force to be used for policing.
anonymous 3:39 was me fits. don't know why it posted as anon, but my guess is I did something wrong. Not unusual for me on computer.
ReplyDeleteBoys:
ReplyDeleteA whole lot of us are going to be felons, whether we act or not, in the coming years. It's the nature of the state and Federal legislative weapons already arrayed against us.
One of the many mind-clearing exercises that must be practiced repeatedly is overcoming the myth that "if I am a law-abiding citizen, I'll be OK."
In a world where mere possession of a single "deadly semi-automatic assault rifle and/or pistol", let alone the magazines and "copkiller" ammunition needed to feed it, is a felony, one's choices are going to narrow real quickly to:
1) Turn 'em in;
2) Be a felon and wait for a spouse/friend/neighbor/parent/child./work colleague to rat you out for the reward;
3) Bury 'em (a path I have never understood); or
4) Be a patriot.
There's only a wee bit more time before the sheep and the goats are sorted.
Best be getting clear in one's mind.
A lot of illusions are about to be shattered....
Tempus fugit.
This only serves to validate my religious conviction that the only good ATF agent is one who has been brutally tortured to death. May God Damn the United States of America, the only nation in history whose government was conceived in tryranny.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless Timothy McVeigh, who sacrificed his life fighting the most evil, brutally repressive institution in the annals of human history, the United States Government.
Emma Gee.
PS: Fuck you; Hillary, you god damn slut; and Obama, you fucking nigger.
Mr. Codrea,
ReplyDeleteWould you please remove the anonymous posting at 11:06 PM. He makes decent anonymous posters look bad. The last thing we need is for decent people like us to be associated with racists and foul-mouthed idiots. Of course, that may well be the intention. If they are going to come after us, they will first have to demonize us. It is up to us to police ourselves.
Thank you.
To the anonymous poster at 11:06 PM,
ReplyDeleteThat is almost funny how you carefully tangled the concept of religion with murder, racism, and foul language. Sorry, you are not allowed to hijack any religion and make it seem like people who have religious beliefs are deranged lunatics. I also like how you tried to make anonymous posters seem like lunatics, too. Sorry, you are not allowed to do that either.
See, that is two anonymous postings in a row that are well-reasoned and rational, without a hint of murder, racism, or cursing.
Anyhow, I just wanted to let you know that I see through you. Have a nice evening.
No, I'm going to leave "Emma Gee's" post up--not just as an example, but the stupid coward may have just put his/her head in a noose. Assuming s/he's NOT a provocateur or informer, I think it would be funny to find out if s/he's an anti gunner. Maybe even one whose name we'll recognize--or will soon. What s/he doesn't know is I don't always reveal everything about stories I've reported here--sometimes to protect sources, other times because I'm following threads to see where they lead.
ReplyDeleteMany of you remember my adventures with the US Marshal a while back. You'll recall he included WarOnGuns comment posters in his threat--they're monitoring what you say, too, folks, with the finest equipment plunder can buy. Add to that the documented fact that federal and other law enforcement agencies routinely monitor this site. Some of you will also remember my linking to a site advocating the very kind of torture death for an ATF agent that Emma Gee does.
A reliable source informed me that ATF took that one very seriously and put resources into tracing it. My information is they have gone so far as to interrogate some individuals about it. I actually have a bit more information about that, but am not disclosing it here.
But the bottom line is, they will see Emma Gee's post through no doing of my own. They will follow up on it. If proxy servers are being used, they will do the forensics--plus, Emma Gee is a routine troll at KABA, making similar proclamations there, too. You'd better believe they're followng up on that.
So unless Emma Gee works for them, a record has been established for someone who knows how to navigate the labyrinth to track back. And the more Emma Gee posts, the better they'll be able to home in. We'll see who has the superior technical computer skills--the hunter or the quarry.
LOL! David, that's funny.
ReplyDeleteYou're way of dealing with this post of violence serves many of us well who want change without people being hurt. As long as we are free to voice our dislike for what we see wrong with the current system and vote. We have a way of hoping for change that is legal and without people being hurt. A true worrier fights for peace, and we can all be worriers because the pen and the ballot box have huge amounts of power, still in this country.
I do not support unlawful conduct and violence and will always distance myself from such actions.
Oy! The most brutally repressive regime ever in world history? You got to be kidding me. 10 billion for AIDS in Africa. 5 billion for relief of the tsunami victims. Countless private relief agencies sending volunteers to every country in the world, to help people in need. The Marshall Plan, saved 100 million Europeans from starvation and destitution after WW2. Our enemies have an earthquake, typhoon, hurricane, disease, famine, pestilence, disaster of any kind, and we open our hearts and our wallets and pour out love to people that have despised us, used us,villified us, and killed our citizens. And we're the monster. No, only the communists say that. Because the truth never matters to them. May G*d forgive whoever it was said those things.
ReplyDelete"Us vs. them" training again.
ReplyDeleteWasn't referring to your comment, Straight, but the guy who stopped by to plug Gabe Suarez. Knowing Suarez, it might very well have been him.
ReplyDeleteOk, I thought the reference to thesauri, was about the confusion between military and police on the military channel, Fits.'
ReplyDeleteAbout the warrior mindset. There is nothing warrior-like about people who hide until all danger to themselves has passed, but stomp and kick and taze and shoot those who offer no resistance or are incapable of it, especially when the recipeints of such treatment are outnumbered 13 to 1. I suspect they have a Walter Mitty complex.
Not very warrior-like, more feather-legged-like.
If anyone needs a translation, let me know.
