"A Community of Friendly People"

The 60-year-old Vietnam veteran and former Marine was arrested at his home Tuesday and charged with two counts of disorderly conduct after two village trustees complained that, during a heated meeting, Kachka pointed his finger at them while wearing a shirt with a Marine Corps insignia that said, "Don't Move. If You Run, You'll Only Die Tired."

Trustees allege Kachka's thumb was raised and his index finger extended, as though he were firing a gun.
We've seen citizens arrested for this before, while elite politicians do it with impunity. Congratulations, Island Lake, IL--you've officially caught up with the UK.

"A Community of Friendly people," indeed. Yeah, your Board certainly looks all smiley. I guess knowing you can have citizens who defy you dragged off pleases a certain type of personality.

I wonder--if someone emailed a picture of a finger to plaintiffs Trustee Debbie Herrmann and Village Clerk Christine Kaczmarek if they'd try to have them arrested, too?

Why not join me in emailing them a link to this post--with the scary finger graphic--and finding out?

  2. gotta wonder what country we now inhabit when the man had to file a FOI request to learn what the accusations against him were, and then he was denied.

We can now arrest people on "secret" accusations? What kind of jackass cop would serve that kind of arrest warrant.

Don't give me the crap about doing his job. The town has 8,000 people, he knew. And being a criminally obedient servant is still being a criminal.

  4. You know, the more they are willing to use force to enforce their fantasy that we are violent, the more we are going to have to become what they have demonised us as.

They want to imagine us as dangerous in their heads, and then proceed to back it up with say..a SWAT team..then we are going to have to defend ourselves and become dangerous.

"Oh, oh, CH! That'll just justify their argument!"

    BS. They drew first blood.

And BTW, if some of you have not seen, JPFO received a letter from a critique where the guy mocked the idea of armed Jews resisting. He had the stupidity to actually say it would have been a bad thing if they did, because the Nazis would just use that as evidence that the Jews were as bad as they claimed.

    Goodgrief.

  5. The Nazi's probably would have if they had not been embarassed by the Warsaw Ghetto uprising. THat incident was incredibly embarrassing for the German Army.

  6. I had a little word w/ the "ladies":

Awwwwwwww.......Someone wagged their finger at you while wearing a Marine Corps T-shirt, and you arrogantly sic the bloodhounds on him! Are you biddies married to men, or emasculated little wussies? Then you should rely on your husbands to protect you (from a wagging finger of all things) rather than exercising the power of the state (at taxpayer expense) to assuage your offended sensibilities!

I rather doubt either of you felt genuinely afraid. Oh no! Not petty little government bureaucrats like you! You’ve got your own little local Gestapo to back you up and so why not use it eh? I sincerely hope junior tyrants of your ilk are soon forced out and fated to push carts around the nearest Wal-mart parking lot.
