Senior UN ambassadors travelling from the Democratic Republic of Congo to Rwanda had to abandon their plane after a security guard accidentally shot a hole in the aircraft, it emerged today.Boss! De plane! De plane!
Not just "Only Ones," but UN "Only Ones.
And on top of that, they expected free fuel? And they're going to complain they had to pay for it? I guess when you're a career kleptocrat, you're just not equipped to deal with someone you can't force into surrendering their property.
"The head of the UN mission in Congo, Alan Doss, said the gun had gone off accidentally while a UN security guard was putting it into a locked box on the small aircraft."
ReplyDeleteThe gun had gone off and shot itself. What kind of gun does that? Why would you be putting it into a locked box? Oh, so we can all be safe. That worked out well. I suppose it would be a safer flight with the plane on the ground.
Is a handgun in a holster less safe in flight than a handgun in a holster on the ground?
Haven't we seen this before? Something worth repeating, I guess.
