We're the Only Ones With Kids' Balls Enough

The kids’ balls “were always banging his cars"...

Gianquitti, a slight man who drew a disability pension for the few months in the early 1990s when he served as a Providence police officer...
...certainly brought a unique "Only Ones'" perspective to dealing with neighborhood disputes...

  1. On one hand, that looks like a LONG street. After the first couple of gripes, the kids should have played somewhere else or been more careful. That's just ordinary respect, the Golden Rule.
On the other, BIGGER hand, this guy was obviously prepared to go to war on his neighbors, right? An "arsenal" of guns, right? A pattern of anger and hostility, right?
The police should tighen up their psych evaluations, right?
    Just to be fair.

  2. It is more than coincidence that this cowardly scum was at one time considered appropriate material to be a police officer. He may have lost his shield but he kept the attitude.

He shot and killed an unarmed man that apparently was no longer engaged in physical combat with him. Of course, there could be more to it, or details that didn't come out yet. But at this point, it looks like Only One cowardice on display.

Don't give me any crap about defending himself. If after both struck blows he was able to get a gun and shoot a man in the street, he overstepped.

I once was attacked by three young men in Longview, Wa. I was carrying at the time and I didn't shoot anybody, I just whipped their asses. Taking a life is serious business and not appropriately done because you got a fat lip. Especially not if you got the fat lip for cussing children. Fuck him. Hang him.

I suppose though, the more likely scenario will be all the excuses made for a poor disabled former police officer, just as soon as he says the magic words.

  3. The other neighbor metioned they were always new cars; yet he was on a disability pension. Sounds like they're offering some pretty good benefits.
