The next thing the gun owner knew he is in a "felony stop" mode. He was asked to walk backwards towards the officers, who then disarmed and handcuffed him.And even after the magistrate proved to them how ignorant they were on all counts, the vengeful dicks still gave the citizen a hard time getting his gun back, and pressed the stop sign charge to save face.
While trying to unloaded his gun, THEY DROPPED IT ONTO THE ROAD!
It does make me wonder how dead wrong an "Only Ones" must be, how authority-exceeding or outright illegal his conduct, before physical resistance is warranted.

Fairfax. Southern DC, not Northern Virginia. George Washington spent a lot of time there. If he were there today, he'd horsewhip these cops.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing the citizen and the judge knew the truth about the laws or he could have gone to jail for a good while for NOTHING AT ALL. Illegal hollowpoints, loaded gun across state lines? THAT'S when *I* would have to rambo.
As a Virginian, I will be emailing Fairfax PD and the county administrators and giving them an earful.
The gentlemen and ladies at VCDL are more charitable and trusting than I. Fairfax needs to educate its officers on Virginia gun laws? With Washington right across the river and the so-called "Iron Pipeline" of "illegal" guns running right though Fairfax, they don't know the gun laws? Sure.
ReplyDeleteI think they were hoping to get a good big bust courtesy of an ignorant citizen. A Carolina accent doesn't mean you're stupid.
Note that EVEN THOUGH HE HAS A PERMIT... he was still scum. Ooh, let me run right out and renew mine.
It must utterly terrible to have so much pride you can't admit when your wrong.
ReplyDeleteA little humility on the part of the "Only Ones" would have saved them considerable embarrassment. Of course, that kind of kills the power trip doesn’t it.
Some citizens need to demand their removal.
Pretty shameful police behavior but the line in the sand is BLUE HELMETS.
ReplyDeleteEVERY citizen should be letting the police, their friends that are cops, their "representatives", and the FOP know that when / if the day comes that they allow u.n. "peace keepers / observers / anythings to patrol with them, every member of that department becomes an enemy of US Sovereignty, an enemy of the constitution and a legitimate target.
AND for that matter - US Parks and historic sites are being given over to the u.n. as united nations preserves and this should be stopped [rest of post deleted-DC].

That "education" riff is bullshit. Every time one of these freaks purposely violates a citizen some apologist hollers "education". Bullshit, retribution will educate them much faster. All the information they ever needed to do the job properly has been widely easily accessible, if they didn't know better it is because they didn't want to know.
ReplyDeleteNo amount of education will make a cowardly thug into a decent man.
David,
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that warranted or not ANY physical resistance will be met with overwhelming violent retribution. Look at Corey Mayes. That case is even more ridiculous than this one.
The police are taught to escalate situations, to overwhelm the suspect. Personally, with decades of self-defense experience, I think such a policy is moronic. Eventually, people will respond in kind.
I don't know exactly when a physical response is warranted, or justified. I only know that if it is chosen then the life of the chooser is essentially over. The unintended consequences are already documented fictionally.
DROPPED IT ON THE ROAD? I wonder who they would have charged if the drop had caused a discharge killing someone....
ReplyDeletegregg is factually correct. That is why once one does resist he needs to take as much company on the ride as he possibly can. The costs should be shared with as many families of the attackers as possible.
ReplyDeleteBlood feud.
ReplyDeleteThat's what it's going to come to.
