Notice the disclaimer that the reporter doesn't want a gun and would turn it over to the enforcers or sell it back to the gun store. Just showing that he is a pathetic weakling.
Something tells me that this is exactly what the Framers were talking about when they specified that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. From an outright ban, they have gone to ultra-infringement. Does it make ANY sense to have to beg, plead, jump through hoops and PAY to exercise your natural Rights? I, definitely, won't be voting for Obama. With his record of gun control votes, I can predict what type of SC Justices he would nominate. Disgusting!
Proof positive that buying a gun off the books is the sensible way to go. Of course if I had a gun I cared about losing would I really want to bring it in and put it in the hands of a police department as clueless on the letter of the law as these DC cops seem to be? You just know that given the slightest excuse or relief from the court order they will hold a massive "involuntary turn in" on every weapon in their books.
Only $60?? I'm floored. I expected the background check + ballistics test + fingerprinting + FFL fees + form fees it would be at LEAST $200. I guess they just haven't had anyone get far enough yet for them to have to really reconsider it.
I am completely not surprised by the forms and process, though.
I like that they said they don't want gun stores by churches and schools. Is there a problem now with gun stores committing crimes against children?
Fenty and the MPD, acting under Fenty's orders, will continue to show absolute disrespect of the SCOTUS and its decision.
My dad told me a long time ago to never argue with a fool who already has his mind made up. You will not convince him and will only succeed in pissing him off.
The SCOTUS needs to find Fenty in contempt and throw his worthless ass in the slammer. That will not convince him but it might hopefully be an object lesson to others.

ReplyDeleteat least he is still free to behave that way.

ReplyDeleteThere are plenty of crimes being committed here by Fenty, DC, and the MPD, where is the U.S. Attorney?

Is there such a thing as contempt of the Supreme Court? Can the Chief Justice order the arrest of the DC mayor?
ReplyDeleteMan, wouldn't THAT be interesting.
