Chinese elite anti-terror police officers are wheeling into action ahead of next month's Beijing Olympics on two-wheeled scooters. You knew it would only be a matter of time before "The Only Ones" took these dopey things and turned them into assault...I mean "patrol" vehicles.

They have SAMs emplaced around the Olympics venue, and their "anti-terrorist" arsenal includes FLAMETHROWERS. Picture THAT in a panicked crowd. Surgical strikes have never been their thing. They do the Human Wave.
ReplyDeleteThe publicity will probably keeps protests down.
There's a reason those things aren't in the US Army supply chain. One shot to the upper torso and you're off balance and probably on the ground, even if you're bulletproof vest stops the shot. They're better suited to armies that face opponents with no means of fighting back, like disarmed Olympic visitors.
ReplyDeleteWanna bet they are knock-offs? The inventor of Segway should be suing the Chinese for copywright infringement.
ReplyDeleteI just checked out the Segway website and they do seem to be targeting the "police & military" market.
ReplyDeleteI can confirm that as well. I saw one being used by an Only One at Reagan National. He need it too; walking around would have ruined his physique.
