From the They Hate Us Because We're Free Department

Peter Tubic ignored a $50 parking fine in 2004, and on Monday, it cost him his $245,000 house.
OK, his excuses sound all whiny and pathetic and stuff, but really--take the guy's house? What sounds even more whiny and pathetic is the bureaucrat Don Schaewe who says his hands are tied and he can't do anything about it now.

Of course there's something the city can do, Don. Except the parasites have no incentive to recall that our governments was established to "secure the blessings of liberty," not to "sen[d] hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance."

  1. Parking violation? The van was in his terminally ill PARENTS' DRIVEWAY, with expired tags. He couldn't get it fixed at the time, and the State wouldn't allow him to get tags without an emissions test, which he couldn't have because the van wasn't fixed. Uh...
My first thought: When he's homeless, will they charge him with vagrancy and trespassing?
May they reap what they sow.

  2. "Our goal isn't to acquire parcels [of real estate]." ...
    Yet they do.

"If we were in the habit of shooting people's dogs, there'd be a lot more dead dogs."
    (Some apology.)

"The city issues about 1,500 fines for such "nuisance" violations - which also include illegally placed trash - every year. Many are for repeat inspections." See the San Francisco trash story today.

I wonder if they ever thought of letting Mr. Tubic do community service to work off his "debt" to the city like they do vandals, animal rights lab-smashers and other people who actually cause problems for others.
There comes a time when someone needs to park their "nuisance vehicle" in the lobby of city hall.

  3. I remember when the RICO laws were first passed. I was the only sonofabitch I knew who predicted the abuse and expansion of the power to confiscate at state will.

The hatred and venom spewed at me then, still rankles me today. Of course, it was all the "pragmatists" who said I was a dope dealer lover, that it would never be used for anything else, that I was a hysterical nutjob, and anyway it was only to be used against those "OTHER" people.I was also a stupid motherfucker according to quite a few. Especially when I tried to explain that to the state we were ALL "those other people".

God save us from the pragmatists, without them the abusers have no chance of success.

Now we find the same lame counsel from the same type lame minds, albeit on a different subject and they still can't see the links (chainlinks) binding the issues together and us to the ground.

Such as this is no surprise to the intelligent, but think how many will excuse themselves with "We couldn't know it would go like this." While they still call for the rest of us not to upset the abusers with harsh words.

I guess that tells where they will hide when words fail and action becomes necessary. If they can't engage in the proper use of language to try to stop this abuse, they sure as Hell can't be counted on to not betray us in the most despicable ways.
