I really don't see how you can turn this into an "Only Ones" article. As I understand it, Tennessee state law prohibits the possession firearms in churches by anyone other than law enforcement. So the sheriff in one community is doing what he can to at least let some people in the church be armed without fear of being arrested for it.
I would think the only real issue is the bad state law. I've never found a single "anti" that can explain why separation of church and state is such a sacred thing to them, until it comes time for them to decide on finding places to ban guns. Property rights, and freedom of religion only apply for the lefties when it's convenient for them it seems.
Anything that says any elite group gets a legally enforced privilege or immunity denied to you and me is "Only Ones" material.
The term is not synonymous with "cop," and I've clarified that numerous times. I'll repeat:
The purpose of "The Only Ones" is to amass a credible body of evidence to present when those who would deny our right to keep and bear arms use the argument that only the police are professional and trained enough to do so safely and responsibly. And it's also used to illustrate when those of official status, rank or privilege, both in law enforcement and in some other government position, get special breaks not available to we commoners, particularly when they're involved in gun-related incidents.
