We're the Only Ones Who Don't Have to Show You Any Stinking Badges Enough

More than 40 business executives and other professionals appointed as special reserve deputies by erstwhile Orange County Sheriff Michael S. Carona have reported their badges and IDs lost or stolen, including his chief political and legal advisor Michael Schroeder -- who lost two shields...

The Professional Service Responder ranks have long been riddled by controversy. Carona created the special category of reserves shortly after he took office nine years ago and filled it with some of the county's richest and most powerful residents. Many are also campaign contributors, leading to allegations that Carona was doling out badges to allies.

Civic luminary "Only Ones"--now what could go wrong with that? Forget the badges--did they get guns, too?

And why can't I get this clip out of my head?

  1. It almost sounds like someone's forming one o' them illegal militias -- or a mob.
Special law enforcement people are the ones in Britain who watch you, detain you for any "suspicious" activity like hitching up your belt, and flag you for the real police for further scrutiny. They can ruin your day, or your life.
Along with their reserve badge, I'd demand some proof of IQ.

  2. Same deal in Contra Costa County kalifornia. Sheriff Warren Rupf primarily issues permits to personal friends and compaign contributors.

Almost all the elitists favored in Contra Costa County with CCW's are members of the Sheriffs Posse and contribute to the sheriffs charities and campaigns.

Demonstrable favoritism, clear abuse of power, equal protection
violation(s) and violation of the sherrifs oath to uphold the constitution
