When police arrived, they found Hutchinson under an overpass on U.S. 65 Saturday morning, Springfield's KY3 News reported. The boy had fallen 30 feet off the overpass and was lying on the shoulder.I'll bet that got a response.
When the boy didn't respond to police, they Tasered him, repeatedly.
Authorities say their use of a Taser weapon should not be questioned, because they were trying to help Hutchinson to safety.
We're going to help you or else. What's that road to hell paved with again?

Is the answer "gravity"? Because gravity kills more people than negligent handling of firearms.
ReplyDeleteMost people who are in excruciating pain are also going to be in shock, and not too coherent either.
ReplyDeleteStupid COPS, ASSuming everything is a threat.
And because of the repeated Tasering, emergency surgery had to be delayed for two days due to elevated white cell count in his blood.
ReplyDeleteTell me again why shooting the bastards is extreme...

I can see both sides, but only if the poliuce did not know he had fallen and broken his back. Then again, that would be for using a TASER (note all caps beccause TASER is an acronym not a word on its own) once or twice, not in the teens. These guys need to be punished, and punished hard. They do not deserve to be wearing a badge as I see it. Extremely poor assessmnet of what was taking place from what I can tell, but I would like to see the patrol car video/audio for more info (if it was on).
ReplyDeleteOnly a filthy parasite with some power that's got the best of his common sense would do something this stupid.
ReplyDeleteCops is so smart!
ReplyDeleteMaybe more people will understand when the time comes, why it has come, and not hesitate or feel mercy.
ReplyDeleteEach of the TASER-happy cops should get 19 hi-voltage whacks applied to HIS T-shirt-clad torso. Before he's fired and arrested for assault and the usual abuse of authority and violation of rights under color of law. Considering the number of TASER-related deaths, maybe even assault with a deadly weapon.
I guess this makes me "anti-police" like wanting Horiuchi, Magaw, Cavanaugh and the rest of the Waco Rangers, plus the Clintons and Janet Reno, put away for life makes me "anti-government." OK. Incidents like this make it hard to look at anyone in a uniform and not ask whether they might do the same on a bad day.
Remember the psychology experiment giving volunteers the chance to shock a college student to "test the effect of pain on learning." Actually it was to test people's willingness to torture a helpless subject when an authority figure gave permission and approval. The student faked being shocked at all. Some volunteers "shocked" him to screams, then unconscious, and KEPT PUSHING THE BUTTON. When shown tape of themselves doing it, THEY were shocked, emotionally.
We all have a beast inside. Some have long leashes. Some have none.
Yeah, I know it is much later than my angry outburst above, but I just had a good thought.
ReplyDeleteBranson would still have dirt street if it wasn't for the tourist trade and all the theaters that attract the tourists.
Let's find the Branson, MO. email address and inform them that we are going to post this article everywhere we can. On travel sites, in blogs, and anywhere else we may visit, comment or blog.
Let's see how fast they'll protect these no-good sonsofbitcches when the cost of that protection comes out of their own pockets.
Who would take their family there after reading this? Not me. Branson is now off my list. Been there, but never again.
shit! email address for their Chambeer of Commerce. I'm still so angry I can't think.
ReplyDeleteI am going to try to find an email address for the chamber tomorrow and then I am going to make it my mission to contact them with a copy of the news item, and the fact that I am going to do my best to get the widest possible dissemination of it, and also that I will contact all those resorts, hotels, theaters, and businesses in Branson whose email addy's I can find and tell them what and why.
ReplyDeletePlease, everybody else, do the same.
I guarantee if we all do, we will affect others who will do so also. It's real easy to get someone's attention when they think there is cost involved. All we need do is apprise them of how hard they just stepped on their dicks.
Try this
ReplyDeletehttp://directory.branson.com/contactus.php
This is what I sent to them.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the lowest ebbs in Law Enforcement I have seen in a long time. It rates right up there with Nazi Germany.
As of this time myself and many others will be posting this all over the internet and shall encourage people to not bring their tourism dollars to your community, until punitive action is levied against the low life officers that did this despicable act.
Have a nice day
opaww
According to this report, it was the Ozark PD. The kid was from Branson. So writing the Branson Chamber won't do much good.
ReplyDeleteIs there anything in Ozark worth boycotting? Per their city website, they were "named 'Best Place to Go Antinquing' [sic] in southwest Missouri by Rural Missouri Magazine." They also have a cafe that throws dinner rolls at patrons...

ReplyDelete"Well don't just stand there, TASE her to find out."
