Forget it Jake, it's Chi-Town

5. Defendant Sergeant Stacey Smith is a member of the Chicago Police Department. At all times relevant hereto, Sergeant Smith was assigned to the Patrol Division of the 9th District, which encompasses Mr. Sparr’s neighborhood.

6. Defendant Joshua Simental is a member of the Insane Deuces, a gang with an active presence in Mr. Sparr’s neighborhood. Mr. Simental and other members of the Insane Deuces have a grudge against Mr. Sparr because Mr. Sparr has refused to join the gang.

7. In early 2008, Sergeant Smith and Mr. Simental became romantically involved.
Are Chi-Town "Only Ones" being used to harass citizens to benefit street gangs?

Just stop everything you're doing and read this.

  1. Let me get this straight....the police officer and the gang member are romantically involved? And the officer does not see the conflict of interest here?

That court briefing says that she was see interacting with Mr. Simental and other members and affiliates of the Insane Deuces....I am pretty sure conspiring with known gang members is a problem.

And now I got to the part about the false arrests....and that just pisses me of. Everyone needs to hear about this. Thanks for posting it.

  2. The battle lines are being drawn.
My first question is, "Why are gangs allowed to have "an active presence" in a neighborhood?" Government is so hot to restrict OUR Second and FIRST Amendment liberties, certainly free association and peaceable assembly doesn't apply to thugs involved in continuing criminal enterprises. They'll arrest LICENSED GUN DEALERS and nightspot owners if such people are among their patrons, but the thugs themselves ... they're USEFUL. They rush in where everyone else fears to tread. That's what you want in a mercenary.
If Sergeant Smith had been "interacting" with a gun shop owner suspected of illegal sales, you can bet she'd be looking for job right now.

  3. Hanging is too good...

Please, please follow up on this one.

I watched a county almost come apart at the seams back in the 80s when a California Highway Patrol officer was convicted of rape and murder while on duty. He is still in jail, as far as I know.

But it doesn't happen that way very often. :(

  4. Gang members infiltrate the US armed forces and police departments. They are not just the gangbangers etc one might think.

  5. It only get's better, "Only One" Smith also takes stripper classes. We get her named in http://www.venturacountystar.com/news/2007/jul/22/sexy-stripper-classes-surgeries-appeal-to/ noting that she is a Chicago Only One, I mean police officer.

  6. Check out former Alderman Arenda Troutman who dated a 'banger. They found CPD envelopes addressed to her at his house as well as copies of CPD search warrants.

Then there's current Alderman, former 'banger, Munoz.

  8. which is why what works in Cheyenne won't work in Chicago. In Cheyenne there would be a lot of sad singing, slow walking, black armbands on uniforms of blue, and bagpipes playing "Amazing Grace". As there should be in Chicago.
