Bhumika Ghimire is a Freelance Reporter

Unfortunately that right, which many Americans cherish, is causing many deaths, directly or indirectly, every year.

That's like saying the First Amendment causes slander.

Funny attitude for an "Authorized Journalist."

Her solution? Have the state issue work permits and then guarantee police protection for Nepalese students. That and hold the college and immigration authorities responsible.

Sorry, kiddo. There is no duty to protect and no liability for failure to do so. They don't even do that for citizens. And the person responsible is the killer. Are you really so enmeshed in the collective that you can't see that?

If you're going to recommend changes to our laws, why not first learn what they are and stop listening to panty-wringers like CSGV--after all, they're on the side of those who say give an assailant what he wants. That sounds like what poor, young Mr. Bhattarai did.

It didn't have to end that way.

Do a little research on the culture you would presume to comment on. Here. Here. Here. And here. Then maybe you can help stop people who won't protect people from preventing people to protect themselves.

What he probably prefers, is that the US degenerate into the third world shithole that India is, with its' outstanding corruption, grinding poverty, and general attitude that the average person is worth less than a handfull of warm spit. Unless you're an "only one", of course. Heal your own countrys' wounds, journalist. And stop begging us for food and visas.

  2. I'm beginning to think we should close the borders, all right -- to food and monetary AID we send to people who hate us and our way of life.
I believe I read that India ranks third behind the United States and Brazil in civilian gun ownership. Maybe that's one reason the Muslim countries that almost surround it haven't conquered it yet.
Careful what you wish for, Third Worlders. You're the foreign entanglements the Founders warned us about. If you can do things better than we can, why aren't you???
