There is no one more persistent than a liberal with a bad idea. He knows his intellectual and moral superiority make him infallible, so he easily convinces himself there is nothing wrong with his idea; it is the world that is mistaken Even the facts cannot be the facts when they disagree with his idea. So he forges ahead against all reason, attempting to remake the world until it accepts he was correct all along. That's because, in urban areas anyway, it gets their name in the paper, it gets them money and it gets them reelected. And it gives them cover from the fact that it's there policies that feed the problem, which is what they're counting on if they want to keep tapping into that sweet publicity, money and power.
Which brings me to the subject of gun bans. As useless as bans have proven, liberal politicians will raise the subject over and over.
It's nice the new reports are out that confirm how wrong they are. I would not rely on them to change any minds though.
You're dealing with political criminals who lie for personal gain and power, and their army of useful idiots. You're dealing with a culture of dependency.
And like Larry Elder says, "Facts to liberals are like Kryptonite to Superman."
It sounds like I'm throwing water on this opinion piece. I'm not. I applaud this kind of thought originating and getting some attention in Canada. I just got done emailing a correspondent this morning that "I always get filled with hope when I find like-minded foreigners. There are some folks in England and Canada I correspond with who know the score, too."
Opinion pieces like this can be important for educating and making hearts and minds receptive to change. But it's important not to forget they are pieces of the puzzle. If nothing is done with the information, why bother?
That's why I advocate Canadian gun owners familiarize themselves with the National Firearms Association, and get involved in stopping the attacks and reclaiming lost ground.
That and start a massive push to get more people shooting.
Yes. Take an anti shooting, and they usually renounce their anti-ways or become much less anti. Much more powerful, I believe, than academic arguments.

ReplyDeleteReally? To me it seems more like "Facts to liberals are like raindrops to a duck."
