Only if it turns ugly, and into a mass suicide/riot/tragedy. Then, in the aftermath, they can hold another candlelight vigil, a peace march, and scream for more gun/people control.Q:Why is Chicago the murder capital of the US? A: Because it has such strict gun control. Q:But don't more guns mean more crime?A:Uh, no.
Hmmm... Galvanization is an electrochemical process that plates a metal object with zinc. Since we have electricity involved, is that a reference to the cops Tasering people?
I can't think of anything that could go wrong. Nobody could shoot and kill a mother, brother, and beautiful 7 year old nephew of a celebrity in Chicago because guns are banned there. What a glorious plan.
I'm guessing your use of the phrase "galvanize public opinion" is in the context of, why the elaborate planning for an election night "celebration"...BEFORE the election has occurred? As in, the result might be...otherwise? I support Obama - AND agree with your assumed (by me) implication that this might be, shall we say, bad form.
