The cynicism of gun owners comes from experience. The typical line of anti-gun politicians is to state that they're, "not going to take our guns away," right before they start banning the sale and manufacture of firearms.

Bush the Elder barred 'assault weapon imports' with a simple exec order. Clinton followed up with the legislation several years later.
ReplyDeleteI see no bar to BHO taking the same tack; barring a host of weapons and ammo now and waiting for word from Pelosi regarding the time frame in which the dem power monopoly's hold on our throats cannot be broken, and therefore the right time to hammer home the end of our rights with permanent and unreviewable legislation.
Do not question 'unreviewable'. CONgress can and has written legislation with exemptions to review by any court.

I am somewhat disappointed in the lack of strategic logic employed by so many who are definitely on our side and are not apologists nor pragmatists. This is exhibited in their faith that the internet and talk radio will still be available to disseminate real information.

If they attack the second with all the power they will have in D.C. and their already exposed bent as regards the rights of citizens, why do we assume they will not censor or outlaw, er, uh I mean REGULATE, both. Of course in the interests of tyranny, er, uh, I mean FAIRNESS.
