Not to Keep Harping on This, But...

A new report by the U.S. Army War College talks about the possibility of Pentagon resources and troops being used should the economic crisis lead to civil unrest, such as protests against businesses and government or runs on beleaguered banks.
This has all kinds of potential for getting interesting...

  1. I'm not planning on rioting. Are you?

Think about this: you see two guys fighting in the middle of the bar, and you unwisely try to step between the two. Most likely result? You'll get hit, too. So you hit back. Now it's two-on-one, and the recipient of your strikes has some friends in the room who don't like unfair fights. Suddenly almost everyone is in on the fight, and it's such chaos that it really doesn't matter any longer who did what, because every man if fighting for himself.

It sounds to me like the fe'ral gov't is planning on creating some "civil unrest".
