Eric Manson says he never uses a gun when he robs a bank. He says he doesn't need one. [More]And they just quietly comply.
I don't understand how this is possible.
Not taking risks for a crappy job has nothing to do with it. It's not the job that's being threatened.
I wonder what percentage of bank tellers support gun control...
David, Thank you for providing links in the body. That's a great convenience for those of us who use Google reader. I wasn't the one who complained before--it wasn't a big enough itch to say anything about, but it's worth thanking you for.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for the continued steady supply of great links and essays.
Merry Christmas.
Thanks and back at'cha.
ReplyDeleteIt gives me great hope to realize I can not only still be educated, but I don't even kick and scream all that hard when it happens...
I delivered money for a a few years in the armored truck industry. There is a handing chart behind bank counters to identify they guns used in a holdup as "handgun" "rifle" "assault rifle" etc etc.... banks are terrible at noticing customers... I've walked in with a huge empty bag, and my HK USP .45 in my hand, no one even noticed me... and I'm 6 foot 5... duuuuuuh
ReplyDeleteBanks don't really care if they get robbed. The fed replaces the money they lost, and they don't lose customers. Who stops putting their money in a bank because it got robbed?
